You won't want sealing wax sticks anymore once you see how easy it is to use new sealing wax wafers from Judi Kins. Wax seals make attractive additions to gift bags, picture frames, and homemade stationery like that invented by guest Christine Angeli. The wafers can be broken into smaller pieces so colors can be mixed or blended easily.
To use this innovative product, simply melt the wax with a heat embossing tool, then press a sealing stamp into it. To make the seal fancy, first ink the stamp with gold or other pigment ink before pressing it into the wax. To add even more flair, add a tassel or ribbon underneath the wax seal before heating. To conserve costs, rubber stamps can be substituted for sealing stamps, but Christine warns that the foam area will melt if exposed to the hot wax so be careful that only the rubber image touches the wax.
Christine also suggests making the seals in advance, to later glue onto cards or gifts. This way, if you have used glitters or glues on the cards, there won't be any damage caused by the embossing tool or the hot wax.
