Materials:
Delta Renaissance foil kit (includes base coat, adhesive and sealer)
paper mache box
acid-free paper paint or gold acrylic paint
Delta antiquing kit
Delta Quick & Tacky glue
embellishments: charms, coins, cording, bamboo sticks
Steps:
- Paint the inside of the paper mache box with gold acrylic paper paint.
- Paint the outside of the box with a base coat of your choice.
- Apply adhesive and dry to "sticky" stage until it is no longer looks milky.
- Apply foil, shiny side up, and press onto adhesive. Gently pull off.
- For an antique look, allow some of the base coat to show through, then apply the antiquing medium over the entire surface. Wipe off excess with a cloth.
- Apply sealer and allow to dry.
- To embellish, glue a large coin to the top of the box. Wrap a bamboo stick with gold cording. Unravel the edge of the cord and glue the stick to the box.
