Project designed by Vesta Abel.

Materials:

crumpled laser printer paper (copy machine paper)
Adirondack jet black dye-based ink pad - available at local craft stores
Adirondack dye-based ink pads in a variety of colors - available at local craft stores
spray bottle filled with water
heat tool
paper towels
newspaper
gold, silver or copper Decor-It ink
Magic Mould foam blocks
latex gloves - optional
stack of newspaper

Steps:

  1. Position a full sheet of laser paper on top of stack of newspaper.
  2. Remove lid from any color of Adirondack ink pad and rub the ink directly onto the paper, covering it completely.
  3. Spray the inked paper with water to let the color blend. Remove excess water with a paper towel then dry with a heat tool. Crumple the paper then flatten it out again leaving the surface wrinkled.
  4. Pick up the black ink pad and pass it over the raised wrinkles in the paper, lightly touching the paper and leaving black accents.
  5. Squeeze out a small puddle of gold Decor-It ink onto the newspaper. Set aside.
  6. Create a texture stamp (or use a purchased one) using Magic Mould block. To do this, heat block with the heat tool until soft then press it onto anything textured such as leaves, lace, string, basket, etc.
  7. Rub textured stamp into the gold ink and dab randomly over the hand-dyed paper to add a finishing touch. Use paper as gift wrap, in cards, etc.

Paper boxes

Materials:

white pre-scored paper boxes (ready-cut)
rainbow stamp pad
make-up sponges
textured rubber stamps
Magic Mould - optional
heat tool - optional

Steps:

  1. Add desired ink colors to the make-up sponges for each side of the box top flaps.
  2. Rub the rainbow stamp pad over the entire box, except for the box flaps.
  3. Ink the textured rubber stamp from the rainbow stamp pad and stamp all over.
  4. Fold ready cut boxes.

Note: Create a texture stamp (or use a purchased one) using Magic Mould. Heat the block with the heat tool until it is soft, then press it onto anything textured such as leaves, lace, string, basket etc.
