Paperpost Inc. representative Tricie Krim uses rubber stamps to produce designs that are not confined to flat surfaces. Her cards procure a three-dimensional appearance when she enhances them with glued-on objects such as her "grass-growing" flower pots, for which directions are provided below.

Materials:

paper for design
card paper for background of card
Flower Pots rubber stamp
opaque rubber stamp ink
embossing powder
heat gun or hair dryer
sponge
acrylic paints
paint brush
scissors or other cutting utensil
self-sticking raised dots
shredded paper or Easter basket grass
craft glue

Steps:
  1. Produce a "washed" look on the paper by using a sponge to stamp ink on the paper.
  2. Apply the opaque ink to the flower pots image and stamp it onto the sponged paper.
  3. Sprinkle on embossing powder and heat with a heat gun or hair dryer to raise the inked surface.
  4. Paint the flower pots and cut the image out.
  5. To produce the 3-D appearance, apply the raised dots to the back of the flower pots and attach to the card.
  6. Glue shredded paper or grass to the top of the pots to further enhance the look.
  7. Optional - Ribbons, buttons, and other items may be glued on for added effect.
