Dichroic Glass Pendant with Stringer Design
Robin Nunes from Madison, Ohio, taught herself the art of fused glass. In this project, Robin creates a dichroic glass pendant embellished with flame-worked black glass stringers.

Materials and Tools:
tested compatible fusing glass: clear, green/magenta dichroic
black stringer
torch
glasscutter
glass glue
silver bail
needle nose pliers
heat-resistant surface
Steps:
1. Cut a piece of clear glass to 1/2" x 1-1/2". Clean the clear glass and place in the kiln.
2. Cut a piece of dichroic glass 1/2" x 1-1/2". Clean the dichroic glass. Place on top of the clear glass, coated side up.
3. Using pliers and a torch, heat a black stringer. Pull the stringer into tiny threads. Place the threads on the dichroic glass in a pleasing design.
4. Fire according to the firing schedule suggested by the glass manufacturer.
5. When cool, use glass glue to attach the bail to the back of the pendant.
