Steps:

1. Place card stock for slider face down in vertical position. Measure down from the top and draw horizontal lines at 3-1/4, 3-5/8, 4, 4-3/8, 4-3/4, 5-1/8 and 10-3/8 inches (figure A).

2. Valley score, fold and crease each line (figure B). Then crease all but the bottom score a second time to 'soften' the folds. This prevents the pages from sticking together as they flip back and forth.

3. Place card stock for sleeve face down in horizontal position. Measure over from left edge and draw vertical lines at 2-1/2 and 5-1/2 inches. Valley score, fold and crease both lines (figure C).

4. Apply glue to the center section of the sleeve on the valley fold side, keeping the glue approximately 1/8 inch away from each fold. Hold slider valley fold side up with the small panel at the top and attach the bottom section of slider to the sleeve flush with the bottom and centered between the folds and burnish (figure D).

5. Fold down the slider at the score nearest to the center. Fold in the right flap on the sleeve, then the left flap. Trace the edge of the left flap to the right flap (figure E).

6. Lift the left side flap, place glue guards under the right side flap and along traced line, and apply glue to the right flap (figure F). Remove the glue guards, close the left flap and burnish (figures G and H).

7. Flip the slider/sleeve unit over with the scores face up. Place a strip of double-sided tape about 1/4" x 2-1/2" on each of the five sections, centered side to side and top to bottom (figure I). Lightly burnish the top surface of each tape strip.

8. Remove the backing from the bottom tape strip. Place the long edge of a card stock page along the fold above the tape strip, centered side to side (figure J). Burnish.

9. Tape the four additional pages in place, working from bottom to top, keeping the sides aligned with the sides on the bottom page. Burnish each page as it is taped in place.

10. Hold the flip card at the sides of the sleeve and gently pull and push slider back and forth to test page action (figure K). Glue 3/8-inch decorative paper strips to the bottom of each page (figure L).

11. Add stickers if desired, and glue photos to each page (figure M).

12. Place card stock for mounting card face down with grain running vertically. Measure over from left and draw vertical line at 4-1/4 inches. Score, fold and crease this line. Glue decorative paper to front of card (figure N).

13. Cover entire surface area on the back of the sleeve with double stick tape and attach the flip card unit to the mounting card over the decorative paper (figure O). Burnish.

Tips:

More text can be added to slider and will become visible when slider is pulled out of sleeve. Your flip card will fit inside an A2 envelope (4-3/8" x 5-3/4") if the pull tab at bottom is folded over. Or, attach your flip card unit to a 3-3/4" x 9" board--this will fit nicely into a #10 envelope (4-1/8" x 9-1/2").
