Use the featured tearing technique to give your titles a new look and texture.

Guest Judy Hale offers an idea for using charms on an imaginative, fun page.

Materials:

vellum
card stock
adhesive
eyelet hole punch
gold eyelets
string
flower charm
journaling pen

Figure A

  1. Print out titles onto vellum paper.

  2. Tear around each word leaving a small edge, and then tear the edges of brown cardstock.

  3. Adhere the vellum and brown cardstock using magic mesh between them.

  4. Using an eyelet hole punch, punch holes through the cardstock and magic mesh.

  5. Place gold eyelets in each hole.

Figure B

  • Cut a piece of string about three inches long.

  • Tie a flower charm in the center of the string, and thread the string through the eyelets on the bottom of the title strip.

  • Secure the string on the backside with photo tabs allowing the charm to dangle.

  • Place the title onto the page.

  • Add journaling and embellishments around the title.
