1. Condition clay. Mix two parts white and one part beige. Flatten clay on the thickest setting on your pasta maker.
2. Cut out two equal pieces with a round cookie cutter or lid (figure A).
3. Use a rubber stamp to impress images on both pieces (figure B).
4. Gently place the two pieces onto a light bulb and smooth over the bulb (figure C).
5. With a craft knife, bevel and curve the edges to fit over the bulb (figure D).
6. Bake in oven for 30 minutes at 265 F degrees. Cool. Remove from bulb.
7. Make a clay snake to go around the edges. Use liquid polymer to seal the two pieces together with the snake (figure E). Smooth the edges so there are no seams (figure F).
8. Using a needle tool, make holes on two sides for the eye pin (figure G).
9. Bake again for 20 minutes at 265 F degrees. Cool.
10. Rub burnt umber acrylic paint over entire piece and let dry (figure H).
11. Sand until smooth. Buff until shiny.
12. Put eye pin through the two holes and attach beads and tassel. With beading thread, add assorted beads for tieback. Attach ribbon or cording (figure I).
