7. Rubber ducky (4 layers)
a. Cut white bulk soap into small chunks, about 1/2 cup. Put into a glass cup and microwave for 20 seconds. Stir, and heat for additional 10 seconds if necessary. Do not let the soap boil.
b. Put two to three drops of fragrance into the soap and stir.

Figure F
k. Take the mold out of the freezer, let it sit for one minute, then turn the mold over and begin bending it on all sides to break the seal on the edges and start allowing air to enter into the mold. Continue working back and forth on all sides until the mold pops out (figure F). If it is stubborn, return the mold to the freezer for another minute and try again. Place soap on wax paper.
l. Wrap the soap loosely with the wax paper and slide it into clear cello bag. Then pull the wax paper out of the bag. This gets the soap into the bag faster and keeps the soap from smearing along the sides of the bag. Tie with a ribbon.

Figure G
c. Layer One–Pour the soap into a round mold, spray any bubbles with alcohol and let dry for 30 minutes (figure G).
d. Pour five ounces of hot clear melted soap into a glass-measuring cup.
e. Add five to seven drops of baby powder fragrance or until it smells appropriate.
f. Add blue soap coloring by drops until the precise color is achieved.
g. Stir the soap slowly to minimize bubbles, to achieve uniform color and the fragrance is blended. Do not stir fast.
h. To make the two layers of soap adhere, spray alcohol on the white soap layer that has hardened in the mold.

Figure H
i. Layer Two–Pour 1/4 inch of blue soap on top of the white soap already in the mold (figure H). Check to make sure that the level of this soap in the mold is high enough so that when the duck is sitting on it, his head and beak will be above the top of the soap. Add additional soap if necessary. Spray any bubbles with alcohol.
j. Let dry for 30 minutes.
k. Re-melt the blue soap in a glass cup in the microwave if necessary.
l. Spray the top of the blue soap in the mold with alcohol.
m. Dip the bottom of the duck into the hot blue soap in the cup. This acts like a glue to hold the duck in position before the final layer.

Figure J
n. Layer Three–Place the duck on top of the hardened layer of blue soap in the mold and let set 10 to 15 minutes (figure I).
o. Spray duck and dry soap with alcohol to help him adhere better to the next layer of soap.
p. Layer Four–Pour the final layer of hot soap mixture into the mold. If there are any bubbles that form on the top, spray lightly with alcohol to pop the bubbles (figure J).
q. Let sit for 30 minutes to one hour.
r. Put in freezer for 5 to 10 minutes.

Figure K
s. Take the mold out of the freezer, let it sit for one minute, then turn the mold over and begin bending it on all sides to break the seal on the edges and start allowing air to enter into the mold. Continue working back and forth on all sides until the mold pops out (figure K). If it is stubborn, return the mold to the freezer for another minute and try again. Place soap on wax paper.
t. Wrap the soap loosely with the wax paper and slide it into clear cello bag. Then pull the wax paper out of the bag. This gets the soap into the bag faster and keeps the soap from smearing along the sides of the bag. Tie with a ribbon.
