Before: Work-Out Room Isn’t Working
Judy Peterson's townhouse has a wonderful seating area next to the master bedroom. She set up the space as an exercise room (pictured, right), but has now changed her mind. She wants to move the exercise equipment to the garage and turn this space into a cozy seating area for reading and relaxing.

With the help of host Joan Steffend, carpenter Jeff Meyer, and less than $500, designer Pepper Eggers transformed this once cramped exercise room into a Northwoods-inspired sitting room with bohemian accents. The kicked-back style blends some very-feminine with some non-so-feminine elements. To start this eclectic look, the walls are painted deep brown and soft purple.
