Design Collector’s Cupboard
Collector/designer/traveler Rayman Boozer loves ‘stuff’—and he doesn’t try to hide it just because he lives in a tiny apartment. Instead, just about all of his objects, knick-knacks, collectibles and works of art are out in the open in his East Village retreat. But rather than appear cluttered, the space is an elegant and whimsical haven from the city.

Farmhouse Table
Boozer always wanted a farmhouse table for his kitchen. The table he found was a foot too long, but he cut it down to size and saved the extra piece for someday when he might have a bigger kitchen. As it is, his table is large enough for a hearty dinner party for eight and for his design work. He also makes use of the metal door as a magnetic board for notes, sketches, etc. Anyone can create a magnetic board on a wall using metallic paint. Or apply a piece of cork to the wall for a message board. The country-style kitchen features open shelving that holds plates and glassware from Belgium, Prague and Morocco.
