Steps:

  1. Measure the table length, add a yard and purchase fabric equivalent to the total.
  2. Trim the fabric to the preferred width. Cut each end so it tapers into a generous point.
  3. Press one inch under on all sides and use fabric glue or a hot glue gun to secure the raw edges.
  4. For the border, measure around the outside edge of the runner, add six inches and purchase cording or braid that is equivalent to this measurement.
  5. Glue the cording in place on the underside so that the decorative edging--and not the glued portion--is visible on the right side of the runner.
