Project designed by Julianna Hudgins.

Materials:

18-gauge silver wire
24-gauge green wire
clear industrial-strength glue
assorted small stone chips
6mm white glass bead
small acrylic frame
tools - wire cutters, needle-nose pliers, toothpick, round-nose pliers

Steps:

  1. Cut three pieces of 18-gauge wire approximately six inches long to form golf clubs. Make one wire slightly shorter than the other two. Use needle-nose pliers to make a loop at the end of each club.
  2. Coil the 28-gauge wire around the top of the club, covering approximately one inch from the top.
  3. Cut 24-gauge wire into a variety of sizes with the longest piece approximately one inch.
  4. Cut green wire into different lengths to form bunches of grass.
  5. Glue two clubs staggered in length to the left side of the frame. Glue grass bunches to the bottom of the frame. Add stone chips to the middle of the grass.
  6. Add last club to bottom of frame. For a golf ball, apply glue to a 6mm white glass bead using a toothpick and adhere to frame next to club.
Tip: Cover wire with cloth to avoid scarring with pliers.
