Elegant Stamped Ensemble

Materials:

cami set
bold rubber stamps
Folk Art acrylic paint: 672 Metallic Mint Pearl, 658 Metallic Antique Gold, 671 Metallic Perodot, 657 Metallic Regal Red, 470 Lime Light
20503 white Apple Barrel paint
sponge paint brushes
disposable plates
FabriTac glue
GemTac
glass E-beads and tiny gold holeless beads
fibers and trims

1. Put several colors of paint onto the palette.

2. Use a dry sponge brush to tap paint onto the rubber stamps (figure A).

3. Press the stamps (lightly) onto the fabric (figure B). Let dry.

4. Use FabriTac to glue fiber and trim onto the cami (figure C). Let dry.

5. Use the GemTac to glue beads to the cami (figure D). Let dry.

Tips:

1. Prewash the clothing and iron smooth.

2. You can blend several different brands and colors of acrylic paint and dyes. Don't be afraid to mix brands.

3. Tap the paint onto the stamp; don't brush it across the stamp. You will get a better application that way.

4. Wash your rubber stamps with warm water if the acrylic paint is still wet. If acrylic paint has dried on to the rubber stamp, wipe a heavy coat of the Judikins rubber stamp cleaner on the stamp, let set for a couple minutes, and then use a soft toothbrush and warm water to remove the paint.

5. I recommend hand-washing this garment. The paint and glues are all permanent, but I would worry about agitating the fiber and possibly washing the color off the glass beads. So, to be on the safe side...
