Designer Jonathan Fong tells how to dress up a variety of objects around your home with corrugated cardboard (which can be bought on a large roll for around $25).

  • Wrap it around a trash can and add tassels.

  • Wrap it around a vase and tie it shut with raffia or ribbon.

  • Cover a lampshade with it, using staples and spraying it with a flame retardant.
