  • hand sanitizer

  • first-aid kit (bandages, antiseptic ointment, tissues)

  • change purse

Items to bring for sightseeing:

  • small guidebook

  • maps

  • pen and paper

  • paperback book or phrase book (if you're in a foreign country)

  • brush or comb

  • small umbrella

  • disposable camera

  • space for souvenirs

Items for a hiking trip:

  • pocketknife

  • duct tape

  • disposable washcloths or towels

  • emergency shelter kit (including drop cloth for picnics and a poncho)
