Super Sidewalk Paint

Smart Solutions : Episode SSL-206 -- More Projects »
Children's craft expert John E. Thomas recycles items such as plastic bottles and 35 mm film containers to create fun and inexpensive toys for children.

Materials:

1/4 cup cornstarch
1/4 cup cold water
6-8 drops food coloring

Steps:

  1. Mix cornstarch and cold water together in a small plastic bowl.

  2. Add food coloring and stir.

  3. Repeat this process to create different colors of super sidewalk paint.

* Note: This paint, which can be easily washed away with water and is great for painting large areas temporarily, is good for sand castles, hopscotch grids, cakewalks or make-believe roads for toy cars.
