Transform plain wooden drawer pulls into colorful clay accents.
Crafter Mary Lyon has a great idea for dressing up drawer and cabinet pulls with polymer clay.

  • Create various shapes and designs that match the decorating theme of the room. For instance, you could create a floral design for a little girl's room or a nautical design for a boy's room.

  • You can use a plain glass bottle to flatten out clay, just as you would do with a rolling pin. Be sure it has no label or writing on it.

  • To make the carrot design, shape a two-ounce square of orange clay with your thumbs. Wrap it around an oblong drawer pull. Create ventilation holes in each end with a toothpick. Add on green clay at one end to simulate the carrot leaves.
