Steps:
1. Condition any color of polymer clay and run it through a pasta machine at the thickest setting. Using the templates in figure A, cut two front/back walls and two side walls (figure B).
2. Contition and roll a sheet of clay in a desired color and cut two roof pieces using the roof template in figure A.
3. Using a chisel blade, taper the top edges of the front and back walls and the roof pieces to 45-degree angles (figure C). Bake at 265 degrees for one hour. Let cool.
4. Condition scrap clay and roll it to create a base for the house. Put the base on a ceramic tile for a solid work surface. Place the front, back and side wall together (figure D) and secure them by placing small balls of clay on the inside corners (figure E).
5. Mix one strip of yellow clay, one strip of champagne-colored clay and two strips of white clay. Condition the mixed clay and roll it through the pasta machine at the #5 setting.
6. Wrap the strip of clay around the house and trim away the excess (figure F). Push the excess clay at the top of the house onto the inside tops of the walls and trim as needed (figure G).
7. Place the roof pieces onto the house, pressing the tapered edges together at the top (figure H).
8. Bake at 265 degrees for one hour.
9. Condition champagne-colored clay and run it through the pasta machine at the #5 setting. Cut pieces to fit the outside front, back and side walls and adhere them to the outside of the house (figure I). Trim the clay and smooth the edges as needed.
10. Place the window patterns for the side, front and back walls in figure A against the house. Cut the windows and door with a craft knife (figure J ).
11. Use a nylon scrubber to texturize the outer walls of the house and bake at 265 degrees for one hour.
12. Cut thin strips of clay and place them around the windows of the house to create trim.
13. Roll and trim a piece of bordeaux red clay for the door and press it into the door opening (figure K). Trim as needed.
14. Dampen a needle tool and pick up a glass bead. Place it on the door for a doorknob.
15. To make the grass, mix four parts champagne-colored clay with two parts leaf green and one part golden yellow. Place a layer of mixed clay onto the house's base and trim. Using a wire scratch tool, texturize the grass by punching into the clay (figure L). Use a needle tool to make needle punches close to the house.
16. Mix equal parts of brown and black clay together and run the mixed clay through the #5 setting on the pasta machine. Then run the sheet of clay through the noodle setting on the pasta machine to create strips of clay.
17. Press a needle tool into the clay strips to create the look of a row of shingles. Cut and place the shingles onto the roof of the house (figure M).
18. Bake at 265 degrees for one hour.
19. For light green clay, mix a fourth strip of green clay and a half strip of golden yellow clay.
20. For dark green clay, Mix one strip of golden yellow clay, a half strip of navy clay, a fourth strip pearl-colored clay and a fourth strip of black clay.
21. Add white or yellow to a small portion of each mixed color, as well as to a portion of leaf green clay. Run each mixture through the pasta machine at the #6 setting.
22. To make leaves, cut either teardrops or hearts with clay cutters. Create veins in the leaves with a sharp needle tool.
23. Using the light green leaf mixture and the teardrop shape, place leaves on the right side of the house.
24. Place a cone of clay at the right front and back corners and a larger one on the left side. Cover with dark green heart-shaped leaves.
25. Use a flower clay cutter for all flowers. Press the flowers onto the bushes by placing the stylus into the center of each flower and pressing gently.
26. Put a small amount of green clay under the front window and center it on the back wall. Cover the green clay with leaf green leaves. Place red flowers onto the bushes. Insert a petite glass bead in the center of each flower. Place flowers on the bushes.
27. Bake at 265 degrees for two hours.
28. Glue hunter green felt to the bottom of the house.
