6. Put on latex gloves. Squeeze liquid polymer clay onto the surface of one half of the light switch cover. Spread it evenly over the sanded, rough surface with your finger.

7. Lay single strands of polymer clay onto the liquid polymer clay covered area vertically from top to bottom. As you add strands, make sure they are touching each other. None of the original surface should show through. Trim off excess strands at the ends.
