Materials:

polymer clay
pasta machine or acrylic brayer
craft knife or tissue blade
Y.I. Stamp, Ink! rubber stamps - discontinued
Pearl-Ex powdered pigments
Rub n' Buff
oven to bake clay

1. Condition and roll polymer clay on the #1 setting on the pasta machine (or about 1/4-inch thickness).

2. Cut a slab that measures approx. 2 1/4" x 7".

3. Stamp images on the clay (figure A). Highlight the stamped images with metallic paint (figure B).

4. Shape the slab into a cylinder and join the side seam (figure C).

5. With the bottom facing up, pinch the cylinder edges together to form three legs to hold the cylinder up (figure D and E).

6. Turn the cylinder right side up and gently shape it. Bake it per package directions.

7. When cool, turn the pot upside down on another slab of clay and trace the shape of the lid. Cut it out and stamp images onto the clay (figure F).

8. Make a similar shape a little smaller and attach it to the inside of the lid. Bake.

9. Embellish the pot as desired (figure G).
