Previous: Steps 19-20
For Meg Spielman Peldo having construction going on near her home when she was little was like having her own archeological dig right in her backyard. She was constantly digging up clay and making countless troll dolls and doll furniture. It’s ironic then that the work that would become her passion years later would have a look reminiscent of those unearthed on authentic archeological expeditions. Minus the travel, she’s building her pieces with a primitive outdoor kiln and a breaking, then reassembling technique to create one-of-a kind vessels and platters worthy of discovery.
