Sandi Norris shows how to make a personalized, stuffed Teddy bear. She shows how to make it jointed. Sandi says patterns are available from companies like Simplicity, McCall's, etc. Purchase fur and velvet (for paws) in a local fabric store.

Steps:
  1. Make a paper template from the pattern.
  2. Pin on fur and trace pattern with a grease pencil or felt marker.
  3. Cut holes for bear joints.
  4. With a #14 or #16 heavy-duty needle in the sewing machine, stitch along pattern lines and then turn fabric right side out.
  5. Insert stem joint in leg and pop through.
  6. Insert stem in body.
  7. Put washer inside body joint and then pop lock joint in place.
  8. Finish sewing bear as directed in pattern.
