  • Put aluminum foil shiny side up under an ironing-board cover. It reflects heat onto the garment as you iron, which cuts down ironing time.

  • Use decorative ribbon to create hair bands. Measure the size of the head, take three inches off that length of ribbon, then substitute two inches with a rubber band. Attach the rubber band to both ends of the ribbon with needle and thread.
