Gift Box and Gift Tag

Materials:

7-1/2" x 5" craft box
7-1/2" x 4" piece sheet music
watercolors
berry sprig
leftover silk ribbon
card stock (printed with same pattern as theater box)
hole punch
small piece of thin velvet ribbon
tag punch or decorative scissors
cold coffee
paintbrushes
paper cutter
peel-and-stick adhesive

Steps:

1. Stain a piece of sheet music with cold coffee and a paintbrush. Let dry. Apply pink watercolor paint to the piece of sheet music. Paint over the dried coffee stained sections. Let dry.

2. Apply peel-and-stick adhesive to the back of the painted sheet music. Cut the sheet music to size for the top of the box lid using a paper cutter. Adhere the paper to the top of the box lid, leaving a little space on both sides (figure A).

3. Make a 2" x 2" tag out of card stock printed with the same pattern featured on the theater frame box or design your own tag. Decorate with a punch or decorative scissors.

4. Wrap the gift box lid with silk ribbon and tie it into a bow. Tie the tag on with a small piece of velvet ribbon. Add the berry sprig by sticking the branch under the bow securely (figure B). Place the lid on the box.
