Materials:

mint or candy tins
Diamond Glaze
assorted colors of dye ink
shrink plastic
JudiKins Artist Signature stamp - #2333J
small glass beads
black spray paint
metallic paint markers
medium grit sandpaper
scissors
small pliers
heat gun
paint tray
paintbrush

Steps:

1. Remove the lid from the tin.

2. Sand the tin to roughen the surface.

3. Spray paint the tin and allow to it to dry thoroughly.

4. Cut or tear shrink plastic into approximately one-inch squares

5. Shrink each piece with a heat gun (figure A) then immediately stamp the image into the molten plastic. Let cool.

6. Using five drops of Diamond glaze to one drop of ink on a paint tray. Mix several different colors with glaze seperately.

7. Paint the shrink plastic with the mixture (figure B). Allow each tile to dry completely.

8. Edge each tile with a metallic paint pen (figure C). Let dry.

9. Apply Diamond glaze generously to the entire lid of the tin (figure D), then gently place the tiles onto the glaze (figure E).

10. Pour glass beads over the entire surface of the tin lid (figure F).

11. After 15 minutes, carefully tilt the lid to remove the excess beads. Let the piece dry overnight.

12. Replace the lid onto the tin and squeeze the prongs lightly with pliers.
