Quick And Easy Cards

Carol Duvall Show : Episode CDS-133 -- More Projects »
With a focus on saving trees AND money, and in the interest of expediency, Carol recommends always being prepared for situations that demand a quick note. To prepare a punctual response for any occasion, whether it be a party RSVP, a thank you note, a birthday greeting, or a "wish you were here" sentiment, keep blank greeting cards on hand.

If you really want to conserve your resources, you can actually make the cards from thick paper--especially paper that may otherwise be discarded. The only "trick" to remember is to be sure to score the paper before folding it, so the edges are clean and so that the card will lie flat.

Decorate the card with stickers or markers, and/or use some of the decorative-edge scissors or punches that are available in today's market to create depictions of hearts, stars and diamonds. Series of designs along the outer edges of the card are always effective, as are purely random patterns.
