Pop-Up Box

Materials:

square of medium-weight, decorative paper measuring 9-1/4 inches
strip of contrasting paper for belt
glue
piece of six-inch, double-sided origami paper
two squares of 3-1/8-inch card stock
sharp knife
ribbon
glue

Star card

1. Fold one square into a preliminary base by folding both sides diagonally. Turn it over and fold once horizontally.

2. Collapse the sides and fold into a three-inch square along the creases (figure B).

3. Cut a slit into the center of one piece of card stock. Insert a short piece of ribbon to create a loop (figure C). Stamp and decorate the flat sides of the card (figure D).

Box belt

1. Cut a strip of red paper 7" x 3", fold in half and glue (figure E).

2. Wrap the strip of paper around the closed box and secure with glue. Stamp and emboss a square design onto the card stock. Cut the stamped design out and attach it to top of the belt with glue (figure F).
