Steps:
1. Color the first panel of the floral accordion card with the surface of a colored of ink pad so that the pre-printed paper design shows through the ink (figures A). Do this by either wiping the pad across the paper or by using a brayer to apply the ink. Wipe off excess ink with a paper towel.
2. Repeat the process in step 1 on the next panel of the accordion card, using a contrasting color of ink. Follow the same steps for the third and fourth panels using a different color for each panel.
3. After the ink on the resist card dries, stamp each panel with the Curly Curl design, using contrasting colors (figure B).
4. Color each panel of the Asian accordion card as done in step 1 with the floral card.
5. Using black ink, stamp a different kimono design (figure C) onto each of the colored Asian accordion panels. This will create four different kimono designs.
6. Once the black ink dries, cut out the kimono designs and attach a piece of Tacky Tape double-sided tape to the back of each.
7. Mount each kimono cutout on a panel of the floral resist card (figure D).
8. Write a message on the back side of the card.
Tips:
- Resist paper takes a longer to dry than regular paper so be careful to keep it out of harm's way until the ink has a chance to dry. If a panel does becomes smeared, cut it up and use the decorative pieces for layering or collage projects.
- When making each panel a different color, protect the other panels by folding them underneath or masking off.
