Materials:
CHF Hookless white shower curtain (cotton, rayon or polyester)
Jacquard Dye-Na-Flow fabric paints
- Brite green
- emerald green
- chartreuse
Jacquard green lumiere metallic paint
Rubber Stampede giant palm tree stamp #75004
spray bottle
drop cloth
Greek key stencil
large palm or tropical leaf
1/4" and 1/2" flat Susan Scheewe brush
Steps:
1. Spread a drop cloth on the floor and place the shower curtain on it, smoothing out wrinkles and folds.
2. Paint the entire surface of the shower curtain with diluted chartreuse paint (figure A). Let dry.
3. Position the palm leaf on the curtain and spray over it with diluted Brite green paint (figure B). Repeat to create a pattern on the curtain (figure C).
4. While the curtain is still wet, reposition the leaf and spray over it with diluted emerald green paint. Let dry.
5. Using green metallic paint, stencil Greek key borders at the top and bottom of the shower curtain (figure D). Paint a row of green dots above that (figure E).
6. Stamp a palm tree horizontally across the shower curtain (figure F). Repeat in rows to create a pattern.
7. Heat set the paint by ironing on the reverse side of the shower curtain or toss in a commercial clothes dryer for 35 to 45 minutes.
