Project designed by Dee Gruenig.

Materials:

clear glass or plastic plates, coasters, etc.
card stock - colored or white glossy stamp paper
pencil
scissors
Xyron machine and repositionable film
assorted stickers, rubber stamps, photographs, fabric, gift wrap, etc.
brush art watercolor markers
spray bottle
cleaning tray
tacky glue
double-stick tape
glue stick

Steps:

  1. Trace the flat bottom portion of the glass or plastic decorative item onto the card stock and cut out.
  2. Decorate the cutout card stock using rubber stamps, stickers, photographs and/or fabric.
  3. Run the decorated shape through the Xyron machine using a repositionable adhesive cartridge, decorated side down. The design side should be sticky. Pull the backing off the adhesive sheet.
  4. Apply the sticky side with the design to the bottom of the place, coaster or other decorative item so the custom creation shows through when the item is turned right side up.
