Materials:
super fine detail black embossing powder
embossing pearl powders--red, green, violet and blue
Ultra Thick gold embossing powder
Fabrico black pigment inkpad
embossing craft sheet or release paper
3-inch paper mache heart box
dragonfly punch
heat tool
verdigris Decor-It ink
makeup sponges
Steps:
1. Rub black pigment ink onto the middle of the embossing sheet.
2. Cover the inked sheet with black embossing powder and heat till melted.
3. Quickly sprinkle each color of the embossing pearl powder at random. Heat till melted. Set-aside to cool.
4. Cover the heart box with the black Fabrico ink using a makeup sponge. Heat set ink with a heat tool. Roughly sponge on Verdigris Décor-It ink on the box but not the lid.
5. Cover the box lid with black ink and black embossing powder, heat till melted (figure A). Add another layer of powder and heat again (figure B).
6. When the embossing powder paper has cooled on the embossing sheet, carefully peel off (figure C) and slide it into the dragonfly punch just as if it were paper and punch out two pieces (figure D).
7. Reheat the box lid till the embossing powders are liquid again, and quickly drop punched dragonflies onto the top (figure E). Heat slightly with the heat tool till the dragonflies begin to melt into the background (be careful not to overheat them or they will lose their shape).
8. Randomly sprinkle tiny bits of gold Ultra Thick powder around dragonflies and heat till melted.
