Steps:

1. Before beginning, remove face on bear template by twisting gently. This template is designed to be used as two separate pieces.

2. Place bear template on light source, and place vellum paper over template. Rub back side of paper with wax paper. This will help the embossing tool glide smoothly.

3. Using the large end of the embossing tool, trace the outline of the bear.

4. Place the face portion of bear template on light source. Align embossed bear appropriately and emboss bear's facial features (figure A).

5. Follow the instructions above to emboss the flower (L1012) on the barely blue paper.

6. Emboss the leaves (L1012) on sage green paper.

7. Cut out the bear, flower and leaves. Note: When cutting pieces, leave a 1/16-inch edge around the embossing. You'll get a much better cut if you turn the paper instead of the scissors. Also, keep the leaves in one piece when cutting. This makes it much easier to mount the flower.

8. Mount the flower onto the leaves and the completed flower onto the bear using mounting tape.

9. Emboss the cloud (L1062) on vellum paper and the larger star (L1062) three times on barely blue paper. Cut out cloud and stars. Attach stars to bottom of cloud with varying lengths of silver cord (figure B).

10. Crop picture to desired size. Mount picture on vellum paper (leaving an approximately 5/16-inch border).

11. Emboss the vellum frame using square border template (B263).

12. Using the same template (B263), emboss squares down the length of barely blue paid paper 1 inch from the right edge. At the same time, emboss along outside edge of template down the side of the paper creating a straight embossed line. Cut paper along embossed line, remembering to leave a 1/16-inch edge.

13. Emboss the length of a 2-inch strip of vellum paper using the scallop border template (B245) (figure C).

14. Cut the scallop edge and mount to the underside of the cut barely blue paper. When completed, the sheet should measure 8-1/2 inches wide. This can be done using a glue stick or double-sided tape.

15. Mount the framed photo, cloud with dangling stars and bear as shown.

16. Add journal entries as desired. We simply printed the entry on vellum paper and then embossed using the outside edge of a template, giving it a finished edge.
