Embossed Velvet Shoe Ornament

Materials:

shoe pattern
metallic card stock or decorative paper
acetate/rayon velvet
block-patterned rubber stamp
iron
mister bottle
PVA glue
jewels and trim for decoration
T-pins
bone folder

Steps:

1. Trace the pattern onto the card stock (figure A). Trace all the pieces exactly except for the outer sole piece. Trace this on the exact line and cut it out 1/2 inch larger (figure B).

2. Emboss the piece of velvet (figure C).

3. Using the PVA glue, adhere the outer sole, inner sole and outer shoe top (embossed piece) pattern pieces to the velvet.

4. Cut out the outer sole flush to the pattern piece. Cut out the inner sole and outer shoe top 1/2 inch larger than the pattern piece (figure D).
5. Clip all the curves (figure E). Brush the PVA glue to all the clipped curves, and press over to keep from having any raw edges (figure F).
