The bow was made with three 12" x 18" sheets of fun foam. Fun foam is sold in craft stores both in individual sheets and in packages. Steps:
1. Cut one piece of foam lengthwise down the middle.
2. Fold one of the lengths in half with the short ends lined up. Fold the top corner at this end over about 2 inches forming a triangle. Put your hand inside and holding the corner back staple to hold (figure B). Staple through three layers and not four. Repeat on the bottom corner. Turn the piece over (figure C).
3. Repeat step 2 on the second length of foam. These two pieces will form the bow.
4. Cut the second piece of foam down the center lengthwise as well. Stack the two lengths and cutting through both pieces cut one end off at an angle. These will be the streamers at the bottom of the bow (figure D).
5. Angle the top of these streamers so they slightly overlap (figure E). Staple if desired.
6. Cut the third piece of foam in half lengthwise and butt the two short ends up to each other forming one long strip. Place the streamers over this strip positioning them in the bottom half of the strip and over the joining spot (figure F). Place the two bow halves on top (figure G) and staple all the pieces together.
7. Arrange artificial flowers over the center of the bow to cover any staples and cut edges (figure H). Glue in place.
