Steps:1. Cut piece of Cut 'n' Dry a little larger than the mosaic frame.
2. Ink the Cut 'n' Dry with the black Decor It. (you can ink only the area of the Cut 'n' Dry that the stamp will come in contact with) (figure A).
3. Ink stamp (figure B) and stamp carefully onto the center of your acrylic coaster, being careful not to wiggle it (figure C). Press and lift straight up. Allow to dry. Tip: Use a permanent black marker to fill in any areas that may not have stamped perfectly.
4. Make a mask using the sticky note to cover the center of the frame where the picture will go and stick in place.
5. Shake metallic ink and apply one color at a time to the sea sponge, starting with the lightest color. Tip: Put metallic ink on a plastic lid and dab the sea sponge into the ink.
6. Dab inked sponge onto coaster in a random pattern (you want some color all over the edge of the coaster, but with lots of space in between) (figure D).
7. Repeat with second and third colors to fill open spaces (figure E). Allow to dry.
8. Using a silver paint pen, color the edge of the coaster (figure F). Allow to dry.
9. Remove post it. Brush a thin layer of glue onto the open area of the stamped frame (figure G).
10. Trim photo and place over glue (face down). Using a brayer, smooth out the photo (figure H). Allow to dry an hour.
11. Cut a piece of velvet paper slightly larger then the coaster and run through the Xyron machine. Peel the backing from the velvet paper and place on back of coaster (figure I). Use a craft knife to trim around the edge of the coaster to remove excess velvet paper.
Use your imagination; try the same technique to make magnets, ornaments, gift tags and more. Or, use a stamped image in the frame rather than a photo.
