For a unique food presentation, place a bed of clean marbles on a platter with a lip, and top with garnished crackers. To clean marbles, place in a mesh produce bag or nylon bag, close with a twist tie, and toss in the dishwasher.

  • When you get low on window cleaner place several marbles in the bottom of the bottle to raise the liquid.

  • Place several marbles in the bottom layer of a double boiler (figure A). The marbles will act as an alarm when your water starts to run out.

  • Add some marbles to a half-empty paint can, which will help to mix the paint.

  • Glue decorative marbles onto a barrette with epoxy glue.

  • Decorate a plain stepping stone by pressing colorful marbles into semisoft clay or quick-set cement (figure B). Allow to harden.

  • Add color to your fish tank with marbles instead of aquarium rocks. Make sure the marbles are washed and sanitized beforehand.
